Home of Canada’s oldest race track and longest running racing event. Held annually since 1905 on Canada Day. This unique racing experiences is for the whole family with pari-mutuel betting, beer gardens, children’s events and the beauty of the Alberta foothills.
In 1907 the people of Millarville and Priddis decided they should have an agricultural fair. To this day every August you will find a traditional country fair celebrating their agricultural and artistic history. The Priddis and Millaville Fair is one of Canada’s pre-eminent traditonal fairs with
thousands of displays and competitors.
Millarville is also home to one of Alberta’s largest farmers markets which is open every Saturday morning June through to October. It features a country market atmosphere with a large variety of fresh fruit, produce, baked goods, arts, craft and much more. Enjoy the morning with local
entertainment on site.
Don’t forget to plan a visit to the Millarville Christmas market held every November at the Millarville Race Track.
Although, the Millarville Rodeo is a fairly new event for the community, it’s becoming an exciting tradition. The Foothills Cowboy Association Rodeo will feature everyone’s favourite wild events including bull riding, steer wrestling, saddle and bareback bronc riding, barrel racing and tie down roping. Where you sit so close you can feel the mud fly and the adrenaline rush as top cowboys and cowgirls compete for top dollars. This exciting weekend happens every May.
