Town of Turner Valley

This picturesque community nestled in the foothills
of the Canadian Rocky Mountains is only 35 minutes
south west of Calgary on the edge of Kananaskis Country.

Alberta's first oil boom occurred in Turner Valley
with Dingman #1 blowing in in 1914. Turner Valley
was not only the first area in Alberta to hit oil
but also enjoyed being the largest oil producer in
the British Empire.

Tourism plays a significant role in the economic
development of Turner Valley with quaint shops,
artisan studios, and breathtaking scenery.

A growing artisan population have been attracted
to the area to enjoy this magnicificent scenery
and fresh mountain air.

Turner Valley is a great place to live, close
enough to commute to Calgary but far enough
away to enjoy a less stressful way of life.

Affordable housing, quality medical care,
educational, recreational and retail facilities
along with wide open spaces makes Turner Valley
an attractive and ideal location to raise a
family or retire to.
