    Chamber of Commerce along with Community Futures Highwood - cordially invite you to attend a
    workshop to discuss employee retention strategies for your business. The seminar will help you:
    • Develop an undertanding of the best practices and tools to help your business retain workers.
    • Discover new ways to increase your ability to keep employees in a hot job market and fine-tune
      the policies you already have in place
    • Review you current plans, wage strategies and retention actions and update them.

    Congratulations to ATCO Gas for their continued support and presence in Black Diamond.
    Atco has had an office in Black Diamond for the many years opening their bright new office in Magee Place on June 14, 2007.
    Black Diamond mayor Rolly Magee (a retired employee of ATCO Gas spent 33 years with the
    company in the Diamond Valley Area) helps Jerome Engler, President of ATCO Gas cut the ribbon on the opening.
    Also in the picture left of Mayor Magee is Dan Nicolajsen, Supervior District Operations and on the far right Brendan Dolan,
    Vice President, Prairie Peaks Division, ATCO Gas

    Tourism Highway Signing Program

    Alberta Infrastructure & Transportation’s Tourism Highway Signing Program (THSP) has been underway for approximately 2 years now. The second phase of this program – Logo Signs – providing signing opportunities for Rural Businesses, has now commenced.

    The old Community Business Sign Program was terminated in March 2006, and the new Logo Signs and format will provide
    consistent and recognizable signs denoting services and businesses in rural communities, province-wide.
